On Father's Day Sunday (open normal hours), join us any time from 2 to 3pm or so to chat with
Seattle author Bill Thorness. He will be here to talk with you about year round
organic gardening tips in our excellent maritime climate with his book, Cool Season Gardener.
A percentage of sales from his new book will benefit Oregon Tilth,
whose Organic garden educator Colleen Lockovitch will also be on hand to
talk with you. Come by with your questions!
He will also bring some show-and-tell season extension items and will have seeds, including "a whole lot
of Black Spanish Radish to share (see previous post), but I’m also
really getting into salsify, and my perennial stand of that is pumping
out the seed like crazy, so expect some of that as well. And maybe even a
few magic bean seeds (Painted Lady Scarlet Runner) if there are any
kids in the audience." See Bill's garden blog for more posts.
