Chicks, Spring for Zenger Farm + Hours

Wednesday, March 14th, is Spring for Zenger at Naomi's.  We are donating 10% of our gross proceeds from anything you purchase to support the amazing array of neat educational and community programs on this non-profit farm.  Just come on in from 11 - 5pm. (photo of my mom, Mary, aka Mamo, on our opening day, sunshine!!)

Picking up our first batch of organic, locally hatched baby chicks tomorrow morning from Aurora and were just able to add some Rhode Island Reds to this herd of peepers.  See our chick breed list here.

Starting this week, after Wednesday's fundraiser, we'll be open regularly from
11 - 5pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Tonight, Tuesday, March 13th is InFARMation at Holocene 6:30 - 8:30pm on Pastured Poultry, free as always with great food and drinks available for purchase and wonderful people to meet.
Organic seed potatoes and onion sets in, plus gorgeous veggie and herb starts from Wildcat Mountain Farm and Edible Horizons.  Many hundreds of fruit trees and perennials in stock, nearby on our propagation land a few miles from the shop - we'll be bringing in as we fence in space for them and get an availability list going for them, too, if you'd like to order ahead.  So many seeds, tools, books and the warehouse is stocked with organic feed, fertilizer, amendments, soils, cover crops seeds and compost and growing each week...  Workshops by Naomi in April below and check out 'Clickn' Chicken' Clicker Training at the Avian Medical Center, April 28th!
