"Part of the goal of this initiative is 'to increase the availability of locally grown produce in a conservation-friendly way,' as stated in the USDA press release. It is unprecedented for the USDA to promote programs that help farmers produce year round, sustainable, local and regional food, marking a new era of leadership."
